...I don't know what Waltz's sword is called, so I've dubbed it the Disco Stick. XD This is the gayest prop I've
ever made - and I've cosplayed Ranmaru Mori!
Progress time!

Sexy template drawn onto plywood. Because this sword is so extreme in thicknesses, I've cut it into two in the hope of strengthening it with additional layers... if that makes sense?

Here are some of the layers I mentioned (made of thinner plywood). This was the most awkward shape I've ever cut out of wood! >_<

More layers still, with clamps and/or tape holding them on whilst the glue dries.

Putty to blend in the joins, and the left handle has been sanded.

More layers, more detail, and more putty. X_x

Test painting. I know, it's not the right shades.
THIS IS NOT FINISHED YET!!!The test painting lets me see just how dodgy my work is when it's coloured. XD
Tomorrow, I will be sanding most of this off and/or puttying up the flaws to make it smoother.
Other Waltz progress...
Hahaaa! I've been working mostly on the sword, because it's been a lot of fun, but I have started some other things on him, I promise!
For example, I fibreglassed my legs the other day. Bwahahaa! The reason I'm wearing such ugly shoes and socks is because I will not mourn their loss if they get destroyed. XD Yay for bad flash photos... you can't see how hairy my legs are!
DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!
I cannot describe how much this hurt, okay!
This is going to be the base of my armour. I've used fibreglass because it needs to be super strong to hold all the awesome plates and things on it.
And before it's brought up, it's sawdust, not dandruff! XD
Neeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdddddddddddd!!! XD
I don't like the colour of my wig, so I've bought another two of different shades of yellow and platinum. I'm just waiting for them to show up and be better than this one... hopefully! Although, I really like this one's fringe. Damn...
And that's about it for now! I'll do a Sun Ce progress report next (when I've got a decent amount of something done), and then back to Zidane again~!
